Ultrasound machines are used for obstetrics, echocardiography and biopsy





Advantages of Ultrasound machines:
-Provide valuable medical details
-Has helped medicine become safer and more accurate
-Provide invaluable information about a woman’s pregnancy and baby's growth(can view the baby’s current position, gender and condition & is able to detect any abnormalities in the development of the fetus)
-"There is no radiation hazard because it has non-ionizing radiation being emitted."(Medindia, 2009)
-It does not cause any discomfort.

Disadvantages of UltraSound:
-The information that can be inferred from ultrasound is dependent on the person who is doing the ultrasound.
-Executing ultrasound on very thin and obese patients is very difficult.
-"Many cancers cannot be detected via an ultrasound."(Emory University, 2008)
-"Ultrasounds are not available everywhere, and not all insurance plans cover them."(Emory University, 2008)
-"Although ultrasound is often used in an attempt to prevent an invasive measure for diagnosis, sometimes it is unable to determine whether or not a mass is malignant, and a biopsy will be recommended."(Emory University, 2008)

-No add-ons
-No RSS feeds feature
-Privacy
-No status bar
